I've been looking at the art pieces that I've uploaded lately, and there's a lot of photographs. My goodness, I'm lazy!
I just finished another sketchbook, so it was about time to go through it and scan in what was worthy to be scanned. I've done a lot of character concept art and story details over the past year, but not a lot of uploads apparently and I'm sorry about that. My life has been a bit chaotic for the past year and I'm not always able to get to a scanner, nor is everything I draw worth posting IMO (or it needs fixing before I do post it).
Anyway, I just spent two and a half hours uploading fifty-five different images from three different sketchbooks that I still like and want to share. Most of them are original characters, and possible story ideas that I would like to write down eventually, but for now, they will remain reminders of who they are; the notes I've cut out of the images for the most part. It was three sketchbooks, because I got to the end of one, then realized, there's still quite a bit that I hadn't scanned from the previous two. So, some of the drawings are a couple of years old.
With that said, I have replaced all but one photographed art piece, mainly because I can't seem to find that drawing; I'll replace it once I find it. I still haven't done anything digital with most of them because, again, I'm lazy and usually just carry about my sketchbook, pencil and eraser pairing. I don't have a tablet for artwork, as much as I would love a Wacom based one. <3
So, over the next few days, you'll be getting an art dump from me. This is just a heads up.
I'd upload more tonight, but it's time to work on my Summer Camp NaNoWriMo. I'm already two days behind.
Update: Bringing in my dehumidifier, I found another sketchbook, which contains my Jim Su commission.

Is Anybody Out There?
We're still in the pandemic and I'm actually doing better than most. I've kept busy with personal projects - and if you couldn't tell - taking an online digital painting course, as evidenced by me actually uploading some of my studies/homework. I'm hoping that I can incorporate the new skills and get a better job then I would have without. I've been doing painting in Photoshop for a long time, but nothing that was massively amazing or worth of commission requests.
There may be a few things in the near future that will be redraws/repaints. I want to see the differences.
Tired of the Same. Time for change.
I can't believe that it's been a full year since I posted a journal entry on here. I visit regularly, almost daily, but don't post often. Frankly, I doubt hardly any of my friends are still on here, let alone reading these entries, but here it is:
WEB:
alswaiter.net is back to being functional. I had some domain squatters trying to hold it hostage for a large fee that I was not willing to dish out, so it seemed as if my site had died like many other ReBoot fan sites. No, it's just because I wasn't going to dish out money to people who wanted to try and profit off my hard work and my ReBoot site traffic. They finally lost interest, and it's
Happy 2018! Winds of Change?
I hope the new year finds everyone well. I know I haven't been active very much in posting art, and the truth is, I haven't been drawing much. Doesn't mean that I'm not keeping busy, but I'm working on other projects. Some of which do involve art, but not to the same extent. I'll scan some stuff soon... I promise.
Small work rant:
Working a minimum wage job is extremely energy draining and demoralizing when the company you work for is only giving you a raise because the law tells them they have to. That doesn't help with the sense of self worth.
Heavens, no.
You're expendable!
And they don't care if you stay or go; you will just get repl
Tagged. Also, I'm really not dead.

(Was tagged last year to the day, and because of pure laziness - and partial curiosity - I wanted to see if I could keep a notification for a year.)
