It's been a while since I drew anything, especially digitally, so I started something tonight. It's really late as I often find myself wanting to be creative in the middle of the night, but life dictates that I get sleep when it's dark out.
I'm still working out the layout, but I hope to have something to show soon. (I find I often say that, but sometimes don't deliver on promises. I'm bad.)
I need to work on my digital painting so what better chance than to do some fan art. Whoo!
In other news, I did manage to make two masks for Fan Expo, but only one out of the materials that I had planned. Paper clay is an interesting material to work with, but the dremmel certainly did the trick for awesome sanding, and wood sealant added that little bit of stability that I was looking for. This other was a last minute material switch up which worked very well, and didn't look all that bad, but I still think I will like to remake it with the paper clay eventually. It was out of plaster strips and covered to hide the joints, but the joints weren't hidden. Oh well. I do want to remake it someday.

Is Anybody Out There?
We're still in the pandemic and I'm actually doing better than most. I've kept busy with personal projects - and if you couldn't tell - taking an online digital painting course, as evidenced by me actually uploading some of my studies/homework. I'm hoping that I can incorporate the new skills and get a better job then I would have without. I've been doing painting in Photoshop for a long time, but nothing that was massively amazing or worth of commission requests.
There may be a few things in the near future that will be redraws/repaints. I want to see the differences.
Tired of the Same. Time for change.
I can't believe that it's been a full year since I posted a journal entry on here. I visit regularly, almost daily, but don't post often. Frankly, I doubt hardly any of my friends are still on here, let alone reading these entries, but here it is:
WEB:
alswaiter.net is back to being functional. I had some domain squatters trying to hold it hostage for a large fee that I was not willing to dish out, so it seemed as if my site had died like many other ReBoot fan sites. No, it's just because I wasn't going to dish out money to people who wanted to try and profit off my hard work and my ReBoot site traffic. They finally lost interest, and it's
Happy 2018! Winds of Change?
I hope the new year finds everyone well. I know I haven't been active very much in posting art, and the truth is, I haven't been drawing much. Doesn't mean that I'm not keeping busy, but I'm working on other projects. Some of which do involve art, but not to the same extent. I'll scan some stuff soon... I promise.
Small work rant:
Working a minimum wage job is extremely energy draining and demoralizing when the company you work for is only giving you a raise because the law tells them they have to. That doesn't help with the sense of self worth.
Heavens, no.
You're expendable!
And they don't care if you stay or go; you will just get repl

(Was tagged last year to the day, and because of pure laziness - and partial curiosity - I wanted to see if I could keep a notification for a year.)
